Science Update shows are now available as weekly Podcasts. The Science Update Podcast is located on the Science Update website, a daily, 60-second radio feature covering the latest discoveries in science, technology, and medicine. The page explains what podcasting is and how you can use it. This page also explains the difference between the Science Update Podcast and the regular Science Update radio show. In addition to these explanations, there are links to the most recent podcasts on the page that you can click on and download.
Using the Resource
You can use this resource to identify Science Updates that supplement a wide variety of content areas. These Science Update radio shows can be used as supplemental material for lessons, as resources for project ideas, or as ways to introduce students to certain science topics. They also are a good way to allow students to hear scientists talk about their work and how that work is performed. The lessons listed in the section below provide examples of how Science Update Podcasts can be used in science instruction.
