Voted one of the top ten technology websites for middle-school and above students, teachers, and parents, this website is chock full of math and science information.
 
EyeNet
The EyeNet, developed by the American Academy of Ophthalmology, is a nice, clean, easily explored site.
 
Inventure Place: National Inventors Hall of Fame
This site is mainly an online companion to the National Inventors Hall of Fame (Akron, OH, USA), which was founded by the U.S. Patent and Trademark office.
 
Lawrence Hall of Science
There is something for everyone in this site—teachers, students, and the general public.
 
MadSci Network
Behind a slightly “mad” on-screen presentation, MadSci is a serious and useful assortment of archival and interactive services.
 
Making Science Make Sense
This is one of the best sites I have been asked to review. I enjoyed it immensely.
 
Miami Science Museum
The Miami Science Museum website is a very polished, eye-catching representation of activities, outreach programs, and exhibits of the museum.
 
National Science Education Standards
The National Science Education Standards website, while not at all glitzy, is chock full of important and easy-to-understand information.
 
NOVA Online
There is something here for everyone with topics ranging from the bugs in your bed to the dinosaur fossils in the bedrock.

This website is the online presence for Odyssey Magazine, a science magazine for young readers.
 
Oregon Museum of Science and Industry
I highly recommend this site as a launching point for future online science activities. The links are very good and the site is well maintained.

The science and nature portion of the Public Broadcasting System (PBS) website provides an extraordinary educational experience.
 
Science Is Fun
Science Is Fun in the Lab of Shakhashiri is an excellent website describing the chemical education work of Bassam S.Z. Shakhashiri, Professor of Chemistry at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
 
Science Learning Network
The Science Learning Network(SLN) is a partnership among six science museums and funded by Unisys Corporation and the National Science Foundation.
 
Smithsonian Institution
The Smithsonian Institution site is extremely valuable, easy to use, compelling, and an excellent starting point for anyone seeking to know about science, its processes, outcomes, and history.
 
Snapshots of Science and Medicine
Snapshots of Science and Medicine is a creation of the Office of Science Education, National Institutes of Health. It is designed to be a website for high school students and teachers interested in biomedical research for the science classrooms.
 
The Cave of Chauvet-Pont-d’Arc
The website is easily accessed and is readily navigable, provides compelling sample color images of the cave’s extraordinary Paleolithic art, and documents current and ongoing modern scientific research.
 
The International Boiling Point Project
This is one of the most delightful sites I have reviewed. The boiling point project is so universal, that it brings together climbers from Mt. Everest, professors from Wyoming, and children from Bolivia.
 
The JASON Project
The JASON Project has tremendous educational value. It is easily navigated by students and has a high interest level for all ages.
 
The Math Forum
An outgrowth of the Geometry Forum project, the Math Forum is a Center for Math Education on the Internet.
 
The Nine Planets
The Nine Planets site, created by astronomer Bill Arnett, is a comprehensive overview.
 
The Nobel Prize Internet Archive
It would be hard to find a more thorough and inviting interactive website on the Nobel Prizes.
 
The Why Files
I believe it to be an excellent site for both general audiences and classroom use for science topics of general interest. I have added the URL to my list of favorites.
 
Willo: The Dinosaur With a Heart
The information is fascinating and fifteen minutes on this easy to navigate site will be very rewarding for anyone with an interest in these creatures.
