The notion of critical thinking has been around for many years. This site attempts to bring it down to earth, in useful form for practitioners and students. The content reflects almost exclusively the work of Richard Paul and a few colleagues. Much of the site consists of "micropublications" that are brief and reflect Paul's extensive work on critical thinking. The material presented is in the form of text; scientific evidence for the guidance provided is not present except through the broad bibliography.
For K-12, there are lesson plans, tactics, and strategies
The website is functional but primitive
**Review Updated: 6/23/03
This site has undergone a redesign since it was first reviewed by Science NetLinks. The appearance of the site has been improved and it is no longer so primitive. The section for Primary and Secondary Teachers contains information on Events, Resources, Library, Bookstore, and Professional Development. Perhaps the most useful for teachers is the Resources section, which includes online resources (which includes lesson plans) and those that are available for purchase.
