This site is comprehensive and information is easily found. The site presents a list of topics related to all aspects of anthrax and ranging from a general overview and clinical information to prevention and research. Within each topic area is a series of links to information provided by other government agencies (e.g., CDC, FDA) or non-governmental entities. The National Library of Medicine (NLM) is, in fact, acting as an e-library rather than a primary developer of information. These links are carefully chosen and up-to-date and provide accurate and useful information. The large number and wide variety of linked pages presents information ranging from simple to rather technical, and there appears to be something for everyone. The topic areas include links for children and for teenagers. Also available on the anthrax main page is an interactive tutorial that is an excellent resource for the Science NetLinks lesson. Basic information concerning all aspects of anthrax are presented as "slides" with audio, although the audio is no more than a narrator reading the slides. The material is accurate and timely, and would be useful for learners in junior high school or beyond. There are test questions, although not all are well constructed; the narrator also mispronounces the names of two antibiotics. This site is a gold mine. For easier access, the information on anthrax can be found here: www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/anthrax.html.
