Windows to the Universe is an excellent site for students and teachers of all grades through high school, for parents of students, and anyone interested in astronomy and the space sciences. For all users, there are almost 4,500 pages on this site crammed with information, data, and visuals on all aspects of astronomy. Several features make this site especially useful: the user can set the information level of the site (beginner, intermediate, advanced); there is a search feature, and a table of contents. For teachers, there is a complete section on resources (classroom activities, etc). For teachers and students, there is a built-in workbook. The information contained on the site would be overwhelming, but the site is so well organized and easy to use that most anyone familiar with the Web will probably make Windows to the Universe their first choice when seeking information on astronomy and the space sciences.
This is a site that is highly recommended, especially for teachers and students.

New content is still being added to this site. Some of the new features include a new section on ecosystems, new sky maps, a set of pages on astronomy throughout history and the news section even has a small article on the loss of the the space shuttle Columbia, which took place only days before I visited this site.
