The materials presented are related to current and past NOVA programs. There are numerous lesson plans presented and it is possible to contribute ideas to be posted on the site. The vast majority of the materials seem to be written at the middle/junior high level. They are well thought out and quite adaptable to classes in science. NOVA has an extensive list of Online Activities which are related to previous programs and would be adaptable to a wide variety of class lessons. There is something here for everyone with topics ranging from the bugs in your bed to the dinosaur fossils in the bedrock. I looked at three of the topics and was impressed with the depth and detail presented, but again, at a level that will not challenge 9-12 graders, but will hold their interest.
Science teachers should add this site to their "favorites" list as it is worth frequent visits to check on the materials.

There are also a few new features such has Featured Teachers where teachers across the country are highlighted and This Week, an overview of each weeks featured web resource. A useful activities and resource search has also been added to the front page. Here you can search by keyword and type of resource.
