The Magic School Bus

The Magic School Bus (MSB) site, based on the well-known TV show, is targeted for children ages 6 though 9. The science site is divided into two main areas: kids and parents/teachers. Very much like their CD-ROMs, the kids area is very interactive with games and an art gallery. There are about eight games you can play online, from Monster Bugs to Space Chase. In this area you can also print a coloring book and party kits. The parent/teachers area is mostly for resources. This area includes a listing of all MSB books (special titles, TV books, classic series, etc.), descriptions of videos & CD-ROMs, information on how to join a MSB Club, FAQs, and other goodies. There's also a link especially for teachers which includes over two dozen science fun activities to supplement the teacher's curriculum. All the above listed materials (books, CD-ROMs, enrichment activities) are also listed by science themes (animals, motion and forces, life sciences, machines, etc.) so that the teacher can easily correlate the resources to instruction. Finally, the site also links to other student, parent, and teacher resources and activities at other websites. If you're a teacher and are looking for extra science activities for your class, this is an excellent place to go fishing. Overall, the site is engaging, fun, and worth a look.
