2009 AAAS/Subaru Essay Writing Competition for K-12 Educators

In February 2009, five science teachers were awarded the AAAS/Subaru Essay Writing Competition Award for their essays on designing science lesson plans and integrating technology in the classroom.

The awards, presented at the AAAS Annual Meeting, recognized one teacher with the first-place prize and four others with honorable mentions. The teachers, chosen from across the United States, were cited for their wealth of knowledge about bringing innovative science into the classroom.
